La Morue was a blast, again! Every once in a while when we come to Montpellier, we visit this restaurant and it is always as nice as the first time! Their food is well balanced and highlights the flavours of the seafood just right🙏 their cold seafood platter (you can compose it yourself) is also very tasty and qualitative when it comes to freshness. Definitely to recommend!

What an amazing place and a very friendly and hospitable owner! It truly felt like home. The food was awesome! We came back for dinner 3 times in a row during our visit. We will definitely come back! Merci!

Food amazing. Service amazing. We had a good laugh and even got some liqueur each a different taste to our choice when they found out it was our anniversary. I recommend it with all my heart.

Nice little restaurant, great seafood and lovely atmosphere. Nice selection of wines too. We tasted several of them. I just love the owner, she is amazing. We went there 2 nights in a row and had the best of times.

We managed to secure a table around 7pm without a reservation (the owner was super kind - the restaurant was fully booked, you should book in advance!). Food was very nice - we shared 3 starters for 2 adults + 2 kids followed by 4 mains and desserts. Shellfishes were excellent. Squid too. Staff was extra nice and guided us on what to order. A very good experience.

What had a great time at La Morue. We started with shellfish and had fish for mains. Wine list is limited but fairly priced. It is always a pleasure to eat fresh seafood. We do feel that one person waiting is not enough for the restaurant, they seemed to be understaffed. However the lady waiting us was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Out of town visitors gave us the excuse we’d been looking for to try La Morue. I was a little worried when we arrived at La Morue and were directed across the street to Chez Toto, a more casual looking venue; but the two restaurants are essentially one place, with one owner. The menu(s) and the chalkboard gave us a lot of great choices, although they had sold out of the Homard Grille and the Turbot, actually a good sign for a fish-centric restaurant and it gave me confidence that we would be getting some fresh products. I was not disappointed. Grilled Sardines, crispy-fried Chipirones, Gratineed Oysters with Smoked Salmon Bechamel, Tomato Salad with Boquerones, Coquilles, Octopus with Red Wine, and a whole grilled Daurade were perfectly prepared and all extremely fresh and delicious. We are excited to return and will NOT wait for an excuse. C’était superbe!- Service

The hostess and staff made the evening so special and warm by being so attentive, fun and caring.
And the food! The best seafood I have had in a while - and the fair prices are more than fair. Strongly recommend the octopus with potatoes and aioli and the baked cod. Such a gem: Everything a restaurant should be.

Simply the best dining experience I’ve had in years! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was lively and festive yet calm and relaxed. The staff and the maître d’ were charming, helpful, service minded and just a joy to be around! Would recommend to anyone who loves good seafood, good wine and good company!

Undoubtedly the best restaurant I have had in Montpellier+Marseille combined. As a Hongkonger who also grows up with plenty of seafood, I got the best sea snails I have ever had in my life. The others were also fantastic! The vibe was brilliant thanks to the waitress and the owner’s friendly welcome. I will definitely visit it again
